About TEDxGarden Oaks Blvd ED

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxGarden Oaks Blvd ED, where x = independently organized TED event. At TEDxGarden Oaks Blvd ED, TED Talks videos and live speakers will inspire meaningful dialogue and connection among educators, students, and community members. While the TED Conference offers guidance for the TEDx program, every TEDx event is independently organized and shaped by the community it serves.

The Team

TEDxGarden Oaks Blvd ED is an independently organized TEDx event that brings together educators, students, researchers, and community leaders to explore ideas shaping the future of education. Centered around the theme Education Reimagined, the event creates space for conversations about innovative learning environments, community partnerships, and new approaches that support student growth and curiosity.

Organized by Dr. Takisha Gastile, an educator and founder with more than nineteen years of experience in K–12 and higher education, TEDxGarden Oaks Blvd ED aims to highlight bold ideas and diverse perspectives that inspire communities to rethink how students learn and thrive.
